International OpenCon Catalonia (IOCC) is a weekend-long meeting in the Catalan countryside, open to anyone who knows that happy and honest relationships don’t have to be monogamous. It will combine discussions, workshops and socialising to give you a chance to meet like-minded people, to build our community, and to celebrate its diversity.
When? Friday 26 (5 pm) to Sunday 28 of May 2017 (4 pm).
Where? At Galliners, Catalonia (130 km north-east of Barcelona, between Girona and Figueres), at a beautiful remodelled country house (see the Venue page for details).
What? IOCC is an opportunity to get together in a friendly environment and share our experiences, our questions, the lessons we’ve learned, and the joys we’ve experienced in this new territory of polyamory/non-monogamy/open relationships. We’ll be about 60 people, and the basic plan is to combine workshops with plenty of opportunities for relaxing and socialising. Check the what will happen page for details on the programme as it develops. It won’t necessarily be the same as in past years, but check what happened in previous meetings to get an idea of how it could be, and don’t forget to read our Code of Conduct. Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) will be provided from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch. The menu will be vegan and gluten-free, mainly with organic ingredients, with a few non-vegan, with-gluten extras on the side. If you have any questions, check the FAQ page first, and if you haven’t found your answer there feel free to contact us.
How? Check the registration page for information on how to reserve your place. This year registration will happen in two sessions: early-bird (opens 2 February at 21h) and normal registration (opens 9 February at 21h). [[ The meeting has sold out, but a couple of places are currently available from people who can no longer attend! ]]
How much? We will have three cost bands: 20 places at 140€ (for people who can afford to help low-income participants), 17 places at 110€ (the actual cost per participant) and 20 places at 80€ (for participants with a low income). This covers your share of the costs for the accommodation (Friday and Saturday) and all meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch.
